Fieldhand

Terms of Use

Last updated October 16, 2026

These terms govern your use of Fieldhand, the oil and gas reliability platform. Fieldhand accounts are provided to you by your company. If your company has a signed agreement with Fieldhand, that agreement controls wherever it differs from these terms.

Your account

  • Accounts are created by your company's administrator. There is no public sign-up.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Don't share your account or let anyone else sign in as you.
  • Your company's administrator can change your access or remove it at any time.

Your company's data

Records your company enters into Fieldhand (equipment, notes, photos, parts, lubrication programs, timers, readings, and documents your company uploads) belong to your company.

The document library

Fieldhand compiles and organizes equipment documentation for your company's use, including indexing, extracted text, sections, and search. Access to that compiled library is licensed to your company for the term of its subscription. Original manufacturer documents remain the property of their publishers.

Your company grants Fieldhand a license to index manufacturer manuals and other publisher documents your company uploads, and to include them in the libraries Fieldhand prepares for other customers. Documents your company authors, such as drawings, procedures, and internal standards, are not shared with other customers.

How documents are protected

To protect your company's library, PDF documents open inside Fieldhand as page images marked with your company's name. Fieldhand records who opens which document and when, and watches for unusual bulk access. Accounts showing that pattern may be suspended while we review the activity with your company.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • bulk-download, scrape, or use automated tools to copy the library or other data from Fieldhand;
  • remove, obscure, or crop out watermarks;
  • try to get around access controls or security measures;
  • upload material you don't have the right to share with your company;
  • use Fieldhand for anything unlawful.

Pilot answers

Pilot answers questions from your company's own records and shows the source it used. Answers can still be incomplete or wrong. Before acting on any answer, check it against the cited source and the manufacturer's instructions. Pilot doesn't replace qualified judgment, your company's procedures, or safe work practices. You remain responsible for the work you perform.

Offline copies

If you pin a facility for offline use, a copy of that facility's records is stored on your device until you unpin it. Treat a device with pinned facilities like you would a company binder: keep it secured.

The demo

The public demo uses a fictional company. Its equipment, records, and Pilot answers are illustrations, not real maintenance data.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Fieldhand available and accurate, but it is provided as is, without warranties beyond those in your company's agreement. We may update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
